NY Women in Tech

This project started with coming up with a powerful brand. We decided that while the audience was nearly all female, we wanted to ooze “I am Woman”. Gearing away from the typical soft, warm colors associated with women, we decided the only way to go was to go bold. We just love the way the red and purple make everything look strong and powerful. A trait not usually associated with women, NY Women in Tech is a group of women who are strong – strong enough to work in a field that is dominated by men.

The logo had to be equally bold and powerful. After pages of sketches and mock-ups we finally created the perfect logo!

The website was developed in WordPress because our client will be actively making updates and we wanted to make sure the CMS was easy to use. We used a lot of icons throughout to add pops of color on the page and to compliment the logo.
